Excellent location. Nice clean stylish hotel. fantastic roof terrace. we had the room on the terrace room 31 and basically had the roof terrace to ourselves. 3 min walk from the ferry boat. wonderful city. well worth a visit and Aegli is in the best location.

The place had a quiet atmosphere. Location: the hotel was just next door to shops, ferries, buses, bars and restaurants, and the island of Syros.

This hotel was very nice. Beautiful view from the balcony (from our room anyway) and even better from the roof terrace. The room was clean and serviced each day. Internet worked well as long as you can put in the necessary ip addresses for the gateway, DNS etc. which are provided. Nice central location close to ferry terminal and buses.
The steps were an issue, particularly with luggage. If you are going up Keas Street and the last set of steps look daunting, turn left and follow the street until the next right and go up that way. There are still a few steps, but not as many and not as steep.

Very central location, although accecible not by car but only through a flight of stairs, which are difficult to climb, specially when with luggage. Fantastic view from roof garden and also from the balconies of the upper floor. The real asset of this hotel is its staff, which are very polite, willing to help and very well informed.
Rooms adequate but on the smallish side, more so the bathroom, shower with a curtain and not a cabin. Buffet breakfast more of a standard fare, we mostly noticed the absence of fresh bread and the use instead of toast bread. We found the hotel expensive for its two stars.

Situation near the port and shops was good. Wiews to the town was nice.
Turists smoke inside and i dont like thet smell. I think that it would be separate room for smokers.

We would highly recommend this good value accommodation in a lovely old mansion in the heart of Hermoupolis (Syros). The rooms and breakfast are reasonable, considering the room rate, and everything is very clean. The rooftop terrace, with its wonderful panoramic view of all the activities in the busy port, is a great place to relax. The hotel is run by a lovely family, Petros, Rosa and Dora. They were so helpful in making it a holiday to remember. We were a day late but not charged for the missed night. The location is ideal, just set back from the harbour. Most hotels near the centre are around the harbour or on busy streets and so noisy. This is the hotel for a peaceful night and we will use it again if in Syros. The directions from the ferryport are easy to follow. In a few minutes you are at the bottom of the steps to the hotel. You may feel these steps are too steep when you have luggage. If so, just a few metres to the left are more steps which are not as steep. Alternatively, you can carry on up the slope and round the corner where you will see more steps on the right. These steps are fewer and wide, so you could wheel up your suitcase. At the top and to the right is the hotel.
